e-oncología is an education and information portal for health professionals created by the Catalan Institute of Oncology (hereinafter the ICO, from the Catalan Institut Català d'Oncologia) whose aim is to promote and deliver distance learning courses which are specialised in oncology.
e-oncología.org is an internet domain owned by the ICO whose registered office is at Av. Gran Vía de L'Hospitalet, 199-203, Hospitalet de LLobregat (08907 Barcelona) and whose Tax Identification Number is Q-5856383-D.
The page contents of this website (www.e-oncologia.org and of the education platform which manages the courses presented on the portal) are the property of the ICO, and includes the following elements without limitation: texts, articles, graphics, images, videos, logos, files, colours, content presentation, arrangement, structure, selection, forms, search engines, communication spaces. The reproduction, in whole and/or in part, public communication and storing of these is completely forbidden, as well as any other such element which is protected by Copyright Law, without receiving prior consent from the ICO.
Changes to the Website or to the Services
The ICO reserves the right to unilaterally change, at any time and without prior notice, the presentation or configuration of the website, as well as of the services, and General and Special Conditions.
The objective the ICO have for the e-oncología.org portal is to offer health professionals continuing education and information on oncology in Spanish we well as offering them information on its services and projects.
Information provided by the ICO on the services and projects of the www.e-oncologia.org website is free for users and is not subject to prior subscription or registration.
The provision of the rest of the website's services, such as continuing education, information and participation in study groups or working groups and any other type of related services, are fee-paying services and require users to have made the payment beforehand in order to avail of them.
Correct Use of the Website and its Services
The user agrees to use this website, as well as its contents and services, in accordance with the law and the current General Conditions and Special Conditions, proper conduct and public order. Likewise, the user agrees not to use the website and the services offered for unlawful purposes or effects which are contrary to the content of these General Conditions, detrimental to the rights or interests of third parties, or which could damage, disable, overload or impair the website or services in any way or impede other users' normal use or enjoyment of the website.
The user must not acquire information, messages, graphics, pictures, sound and/or picture files, photographs, recordings, software and, in general, any kind of accessible material via the website or its services.
The user must not tamper with the identity details of the ICO and services offered on the website www.e-oncologia.org.
The user must not provide user-specific data or identifying details which do not allow correct identification.

Processing of Personal Data

Without prejudice to the levels of personal data protection security which are required by law, the installation of all means and technical measures available for preventing the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access and theft of the data submitted, the user knows and acknowledges that security in an internet environment cannot be guaranteed one hundred percent.
The ICO does not accept any liability for damages of any type which may be due to the lack of truth, accuracy, completeness and/or currentness of the contents of the website www.e-oncologia.org.
Law and Jurisdiction
These General Conditions, as well as any relations between the user and the ICO, will be governed and construed in accordance with Spanish Law.
For any claim stemming from the existence or content of these general conditions, or from the relations between the user and the ICO, both parties consent to the jurisdiction and exclusive competence of the Courts of Law of the City of Barcelona, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction to which they might be entitled.
The Catalan Institute of Oncology with registered office at Av. Gran Vía de L'Hospitalet, 199-203, Hospitalet de LLobregat (08907 Barcelona) and Tax Identification Number Q-5856383-D, in compliance with the provisions of Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on the Protection of Personal Data (LOPD, Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos), establishes that:
By sending personal details in the registration form, the interested party consents to this personal data being used by the ICO for the purpose described above.
In addition, and in accordance with article 6 of the LOPD, the interested party may revoke, upon reasonable request, the consent to processing the data provided.

The ICO agrees to process the data provided by each user confidentially and to follow all safety regulations established by law with the aim of preventing any unauthorised data processing.
In addition, it agrees not to pass the data on to third parties or to use it for other purposes which are not strictly in keeping with the fulfilment of the aim described.
The ICO, in compliance with article 5 of the LOPD, informs you of the optional nature of the answers to the questions in the questionnaire as well as the users' ability to exercise at any time their right of access, rectification and cancellation of the data provided.
In compliance with article 12.2 of the law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society and Email Services, the ICO will retain for a period of 12 months the information needed for identifying the origin of the stored data and the time when the provision of the service began. The obligation for retaining the data will not affect covert communication. The data will be retained for security purposes and will not be used for any purpose other than that indicated in the aforementioned law.
In compliance with article 21 of the LSSICE, the ICO will not send out advertising material by email without the recipients' express authorisation. Whenever the ICO does have recipients' authorisation to send them this type of marketing information by email, the word "Advertisement" will appear at the start of the message.
